I hate to give press time to a subject that I don't approve of because I'm of the opinion that bad press is better than no press at all. But occasionally I think the circumstances demand it, that education trumps publicity. The launch of the XBox 360 is one of those occasions.

Good news: I recently bought a PS2 and am having loads of fun.
Bad news: My productivity is about to dorp to an all time low.
Out of the first couple of games I've played I have the following observsations....If you like basbeall and videogames then run out and play Slugfest 2004. It's a cool game for baseball and then the hilarity kicks in. Sure you can play as all the regular MLB teams, and then you can also play as gladiators, aliens, eagles, minotaurs...the list goes on.
The Lord of the Rings:FOTR game is awful. Terrible. Truly bad. It puts the storyline through a blender and comes out with garbage. It's supposed to be some sort of adventure game, but the game starts out with you playing Frodo as he throws rocks and runs back and forth trying to sell Bag End. Boooooring, and multiple parts are outrageously frustrating.
Luckily the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers makes a strong comeback and is incredibly cool. You go through the story from the end of the first movie and through the second as Aragorn, Gimli or Legolas, building up the experience and skills as you go. They stick to the story and even through in actual movie footage between missions.
Like I said, my productivity is about to hit an all time low...
